Sam Worthington Readies for ‘Salvation’

Aussie actor Sam Worthington has signed onto McG’s upcoming flick Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins. Worthington is best known for nothing, as he’s been a pretty minor player in all the stuff he’s been in. That is poised to change, however, as apparently uber-director James Cameron has taken a liking to the boy and recommended him to McG.
Three movies are planned with Worthington portraying Marcus, one of the leads of the film and presumably a close associate of Christian Bale’s John Connor. The film takes place in the future where the human resistance movement tries to stop the machines from finishing what they started on Judgement Day, which I thought was well portrayed in the action-schlock Terminator 3.
McG has also recently stated that the role of John Connor (Bale) won’t be a minor one as was previously hinted which is good. Watch Terminator Salvation annihilate the box office in Summer 2009.
Sound Off: How does the cast of Terminator Salvation look to you so far? Are you diggin’ it?
