Raimi, if you don't pick up on this you're an a-hole. District 9 cost $30M and grossed $203.6M world wide. You've got to realize that the indie film makers are the ones with original ideas. They don't have the big studios telling them “that will never work”, they just do it.
Oh, and Sam, stick Bruce Campbell in it.

Why doesn't somebody do a short of a view through a submarine persicope that shows cruise missles launching from a submersible and impacting places like The Forbidden City, P'yong Y'ang North Korea, New Dehli, Harare Zimbabwe, Caracas Venezuela, Rangoon Mynamar and then cut to a badly transmitted/jammed media reoprting of these events with the closing line
“they have not been identified and they say if we don't agree to their demands in 24 hours they'll blow us all to hell and gone”?????

iv never been fond of robot movies but i am fond of raimi and i like his thought process with this like johny_boy stated. hopefully it will be a good movie with a surprise evil dead 4 teaser trailer (just dreaming).

Yeah Alive had more of a story. This is a cool short clip and very well done, but I don't really want to see what happened before or after any more than this. Its very complete. Alive was like the tip of something bigger

Meh, this was alright. I liked Alive in.. better than though, it wasn't just blowing stuff up. I think there is a better short on youtube in a similar vein called What's in the Box done by a couple of Dutch students.

i dont understand how these independent guys can do spfx this good with little to no money, yet when a vampire runs quickly in twilight it looks like they used windows movie maker.

No comments on this piece? This was an astounding short clip that I featured on my site awhile ago and deserves to see a large scale feature. I'm not particularly impressed with what Ghost House Pictures has done to date, but hey… they've got a good jump in the right direction.
