This trailer might not work out so well for all of those Rupert Grint fansites around the web, populated by millions of howling teenage girls who love their Ron Weasley for the pure, innocent soul that he is. This version of Rupert Grint — as seen in this R-rated teaser reel from his new movie Cherrybomb — is super edgy. He’s got himself in a sexy, dangerous and new hair stylist and its time to let out some teen angst.

Officially, the plot of follows teenagers Luke (Robert Sheehan, A Dublin Story), Malachy (Grint), and Michelle (Kimberley Nizon, Wild Child) as they embark on a wild weekend of drink, drugs, shop-lifting and stealing cars. But what starts out as a game turns deadly serious when the three discover that they can’t get off the wild ride they’ve set in motion.

For more on this “wild ride,” check out the footage below. Cherybomb currently does not have an official release date. Trailer courtesy of Rope of Silicon.

First of all, Rupert Grint does not have howling teenage fans. He has many, many young adult fans. (I'm talking mid to late twenties, early 30s, and beyond here.) Secondly, just want to point out that this is not the official trailer so people trying to understand "what's going on" will have to wait... it's being put together as I type!
  • From what I see here Rupert might have a chance at a career as he gets older

This movie is pure eye candy. Rupert has always been one of my favorites though. I'll check out this film for sure.

You must be mistaking Rupert Grint fansites for purely HarryPotter fansites. Rupert Grint FANS and his fansites are behind Rupert growing and changing as an actor. I've seen the movie, and I'm READY for him to take on new roles and challenges. I'm definitely not for pigeonholing Rupert at all. Also, I'm not a teenager....

I'm 18, I'm a Rupert Grint fan, and I am SO down with watching Grint get dirty. Ron's cute but he has to do different stuff if he wants to be taken seriously as an actor. The movie's a love triangle sort of thing. They're competeing for that girl's affection or something like that. Frankly she's not hot enough for anyone to get bloodied up over but whatever. I'm interested in watching. I liked Driving Lessons so this might be good too. Completely different kind of movie but good.
