I read the screenplay a few years back when I was interning for a production company. It's not an adaptation of Stoppard's play at all. There's an elaborate back story that gets into Hamlet lore (and yeah involves vampires) but mostly it's a modern-day story that just borrows Stoppard's title.

I love the Stoppard play (Enough to see it performed at this little hole in the wall theatre, which I enjoyed immensely). I love the Richard Dreyfus movie. I like zombies too, so this has potential…
