David Fincher works fast. Rooney Mara was just recently announced as his Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, and she’s already on a motorbike and looking like she paid $2 for a bad weave job.

I didn’t get a doctorate in wigs (because the classes were too hard), but that thing on her head sure looks like one. If it is, it begs the question: was she not willing as an actor to cut her hair short and dye it black? If it’s not, it begs the question: who did that to her head and why aren’t they in custody?

It’s inane to judge the possible quality of a film based on a couple of photographs, but these don’t make Mara look all that great.
