RoboCop Remake Due in 2010, This Poster Proves It

Robocop reboot poster

We have reported a few times now on the fact that MGM is looking to bring back the RoboCop franchise with a remake/reboot of some sort, but we didn’t have a whole lot of hard evidence to prove it, save for all the chatter from inside the studio. Well thanks to an awesome set of photos from a random internet dude named ‘Ray’ and his trip to the 2008 Licensing Expo, we have a little hard evidence. The photo above is just a promotional photo, but still — RoboCop. 2010. ’nuff said. I’m excited.

Also potentially exciting — and at the same time, incredibly not exciting — are the photos below from displays for both Paramount’s GI Joe and WB’s Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins:

Wow, promo art that looks like it came from the 80's! Fairly unimpressive by today's, nay, 80's standards.

Did Robocop really need a remake/reboot? Answer: No. The original will suffice until the end of time or until humanity creates its own robotic law enforcement.

    Looks like shit.
  • I can't wait until 2050 when, after many years of robotic police cleaning the streets, the groundbreaking, SFX-laden film "Human Cop" is released to widespread critical and popular praise.

Can a man do the job of a Robot? Find out on June 3, 2050.

I thought there already was a remake?didnt you see jack black in be kind rewind??heh
  • An unnecessary remake. Robocop is perfect the way it is as a cheesy, hyper-violent, 1980's Verhoeven movie.
  • The Robocop poster looks weak. The GI Joe thing scares me the most. WTF is that thing? A giant drill car or something? They're going to find someone intent on drilling around and shit? What the hell, man.

I would like to see Daniel Craig plays murphy/robocop. I think he is perfect to play the role.

they cannot fuck up the franchise anymore than make a remake. After the shambles of robocop 3, the tv show and cartoon what more could they do. Bring back Paul Weller, he is the only man who can do robocop as it should be done..i could not take the guys voice in number 3 and the tv show....
