I'm going to stick with hoping this is all a bunch of malarky.

Since when is ROBOCOP known to be glossy or gimmicky? In my mind a reboot would have to stick with the original roots in that it remain a gritty, noir, urban, action film. The CG doesn't even need any major overhaul. If they could do it in the 80's, then Aronofsky can certainly do it now.

It might actually help MGM to:

1) Get sold.
2) Tell a good story through good actors, using good writers and a good director instead of:
2a) Remaking nostalgia-glossed flicks from the 80s.
2b) Relying on gimmicks.
2c) Like the gimmick of list-making.
3) Have a bake sale.

Then he says
“real story about a cop who is badly injured, then becomes a half-robot crime fighting machine.”

Am I the only one who really hates 3D? Don't get me wrong Avatar was cool and all but I really don't want to see 3D movies on a regular basis.

i want an Aronofsky RoboCop so bad and if 3D ruins it, I will buy two copies of Avatar. One I will burn and make a video documenting the proceedings and the other I will keep…… because I really enjoyed the movie.

All in all 3D really sucks and so does the prospect of Hollywood making all these movies in 3D. Film as art may be moving the way of the buffalo and thats the saddest thing I have ever typed. Just a cryin shame

Screw 3D, make a good movie and don't rely on visual gimmicks to try and make it a success……like Avatar.
