Robert Downey Jr., Tina Fey Talking About Voice Work with Dreamworks

In case you haven’t noticed, Robert Downey Jr. is on top of the acting world this year. With the success of Iron Man and the electric buzz surrounding its imminent sequel, as well as his talk-of-the-town role in Ben Stiller’s Tropic Thunder and his eagerly anticipated dramatic turn in director Joe Wright’s The Soloist, it appears that Downey is not only back in the game, but primed to stay on top for a while. The same could probably be said for comedic talent Tina Fey, whose leading role in NBC’s “30 Rock” just earned her an Emmy Award for Best Actress in a Comedy/Musical, and her recent film Baby Mama also brought in a decent take at the box office earlier this year.

That said, it is easy to see why Ben Stiller’s Red Hour Films and Dreamworks Animation are currently courting the duo to voice characters in their upcoming project Master Mind. The film, which is targeting a November 5, 2010 release, follows the story of a villain who loses his will to live after accidentally killing his arch nemesis.

The film will be directed by Cameron Hood and Kyle Jefferson, two longtime Dreamworks Animators. Ben Stiller and Stuart Cornfeld will produce.
