They best stay away from Total Recall. Paul Verhoven is not a great story teller, but I'm pretty sure a remake will come out lame.
Anyone who did Equilibrium has no business touching that classic.
Try a bit of hard work and write a new story.
I'd have thought the mess thats Terminator Salvation would make Hollywood think twice about remakes.

Always nice to see some love for Equilibrium. I was blown away by that movie - fun to think it came out the same year as The Matrix. Although I am pretty sure that The Matrix overshadowed it, kept it from being as popular as it could have been.

Does NOT need a remake!

Adding new CGI to a movie doesn't help it artistically or financially, and just looking at this summer's sequel and spinoff filled line up is proof enough.

This is a polarized movie that has its share of people who absolutely hate it, and people who are die hard fans (yours truly)

I'd rather have a Where's Waldo trilogy rather than ruin another movie I love

It does need a remake. With all of our CGI improved and good rendering we can make everything possible and stretch other ideas than whatever was not achieved on the first movie. But would love to see the breasted woman.
