Warner Bros. has released a brand new redband clip from their upcoming release Observe and Report, from The Foot Fist Way director Jody Hill. The film stars Seth Rogen as Ronnie Barnhardt, a bi-polar mall security guard who is called into action when a local pervert begins flashing women in the parking lot. And as he tries to stop this menace, he also seeks a way to win the heart of the mall’s finest gal, the vapid but slutty Brandi (Anna Faris). That is, if he can solve the crime before Detective Harrison (Ray Liotta) steals his case right out from under him.

During the investigation, Ronnie and Detective Harrison question many of the mall’s employees, including a lotion stand salesman named Saddamn, played by the always hysterical Aziz Ansari (Human Giant, Scrubs). Ansari comes in during the middle of the film and absolutely steals the show — as evidence by the redband clip below. Observe and Report hits theaters on April 10, 2009. Look for more from this film later in the week as we will be publishing interviews with Michael Peña, Seth Rogen, Anna Faris and director Jody Hill throughout the week.

  • This is the only part of the movie that's funny.

    Really? Thats very dissapointing.
  • Fure mentioned something a while back about how the film dealt with rape and violence and it disgusted him or something.
  • Just to point out, rape & violence in movies doesn't really disgust me. I own at least 8 or more horror movies that use rape and violence as a starting point. But rape and violence serve as a plot point, they're not extraneous. The overall tone of the movie left me very flat. I'll have a 10&5 article review post this weekend with all my thoughts. But, spoiler: I didn't like it.

That is very dissapointing, but not suprising at all. I was very dissapointed with I Love You Man not that I thought it was going to be awesome, but it was just so damn dry. Paul Rudd the man still. I personally thing Seth Rogen hasn't been funny since The 40 Year Old Virgin. Basically because he plays the same dude with the same laugh. Pineapple Express was horrible.
