Quantum of Solace: James Bond Does Coke: Zero
Movie Marketing By Neil Miller on September 13, 2008 | (8) Comments
Ah, the brilliance of movie marketing — always providing ample opportunities for a schlub like me to make a drug reference in conjunction with one of my favorite on-screen characters. This time, it is everyone’s favorite double-o, James Bond and his zero calorie soft drink commercial. In preparation for the release of Bond’s bloodiest affair, Quantum of Solace on November 14th, Columbia Pictures is doing everything they can to inundate us with product integration and cross-promotion. As we’ve seen in past modern Bond films, there is no label that 007 won’t keep in frame if it means an extra pound or Euro, or whatever.
But we don’t mind — this movie looks badass, product placement or not. And I must admit that I dig the jam behind this commercial, which was apparently composed by Jack White of The White Stripes. He is teaming up with Alicia Keys to deliver the film’s theme, which I am told is a good fit. Either way, check out the Coke: Zero commercial below, featuring a little super secret agent action.
