Predators

One look at these new posters from international markets for Robert Rodriguez and Nimrod Antal’s Predators, and you might be reminded that all of the cool marketing happens outside the United States. Lets face it, the second poster below is far too cool to be gracing the walls of your local conservative, family-oriented cineplex. Then again, that’s why the internet was invented. For all of the edgy material.

In fact, the world of poster design has benefited greatly from the rise of the internet. Movie marketing used to consist of a single one-sheet meant for theaters. Now a given movie can be blessed with multiple posters, giving artists the chance to really show of their skills. It’s nice, if you’re a poster-monger such as myself. With that in mind, I’d like to present three new international posters for Predators that I wouldn’t mind having in my collection.

Predators is in theaters July 9, 2010. These posters are courtesy of BadTaste.it, Screenweek.it and ComingSoon.it respectively. Click on each image to visit its hosting site and see it in high resolution.
