Rambo 5 in Mexico?

Jason over at Cinema Blend has some vitriol to spew Sly Stallone’s way. Apparently Jason stumbled upon the StalloneZone and saw that Sly has an idea for Rambo 5. Involving abducted women. And Mexico. And Mariachis with shotgun-packed guitar cases. Basically Rambo would be blowing the mierda out of Mexico. I added the Antonio Banderas part though, that’s just my desire for an Assassins eeking its way to the surface. Huzzah!

Frankly, I bet this bit of information is fake, but hey it’s a slow Thursday night and I’m waiting for Lost to come on. What would I think about Rambo 5? I pretty much have to agree with Jason, I think it’s ridiculous. Besides, what would it be called? The last movie was called Rambo! Rambo in Spanish is, regrettably, Rambo. They scrapped the idea of calling this last adventure John Rambo (and for good cause, too), so what would they call this travesty.

So I’m on the fence about this one. Would I love to see Stallone blowing up things, people, etc. in Mexico? Hells yeah I would. Just, why can’t he make a NEW CHARACTER, or at the very least send Judge Dredd south of the border?
