Somehow this day would not be complete without a little puking scene. Why? Because that is how we roll here at FSR… always classy. Also classy is this new redband clip from the upcoming Paramount Pictures release I Love You Man, starring Paul Rudd and Jason Segel. Directed by The Foot Fist Way’s Jody Hill, it tells the story of an effemenate man’s journey to lock down a best friend and not look like a best man-less dweeb at his own wedding. Rudd plays the hopeless, guy friendless Peter, who embarks on a series of ‘man dates’ to try and find a best friend with the correct anatomy. This scene takes place somewhere along that journey, at the home of a character played by that guy who directed Iron Man. Also in the scene you will notice that guy with the mustache from Super Troopers.

Check out the redband clip below, courtesy of ILoveYouMan.com, and be sure to come back and tell us what you think. Personally, I laughed. I Love You Man will make its world premiere here in sunny Austin next month at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival. Stay tuned for our coverage by watching our SXSW ‘09 Homepage.

  • I was in for this movie as soon as I saw J.K. Simmons throw-it-up-and-blow-it-up.

Living outside of the US screws me over again. Even putting in the names of celebrities, their birthdays and zip codes didn't work (90210 is so easy to remember).

I saw the movie last night. I was expecting more laughs. It was cute at best. I am a sucker for anyone in the Apatow clan and Paul Rudd. I am a girl of the Clueless era, I can't help it. I thought there would be more "bromance" humor. I guess for once I wanted a bit more lowbrow "boy" humor.

The puking scene was genuinely a surprise and DISGUSTING. Favreau's character was akward to watch (I also have a soft spot for him) and I didn't dislike him in the way that I think I was supposed to. I have to also say the whole "slap the bass" thing was so over done. I got the concept of what it was supposed to represent but the more they said it the more I wished the movie was over. The movie also wrapped up way to neatly in a matter of about 5 mins. It is def a wait for DVD.
