Paul Bettany to Initiate the Apocalypse
Movie News By Cole Abaius on February 14, 2008 | Be the First To Comment
Ever since he first walked bare-assed onto the screen in A Knight’s Tale and into our hearts, we knew deep down that Paul Bettany would destroy us. And that’s what he’s slated to do in his newest role.
Bettany will play the archangel Michael — the harbinger of death — doing the good Lord’s work to wipe out all of us sinners. And everything else along with us.
Filmstalker is reporting that the project, called Legion, will be directed by newcomer Scott Stewart. No word yet on the budget, but it had better be large enough to cover the special effects needed to bring warring angels to life.
Bettany was last seen playing Silas in The Da Vinci Code. This should be like that with a dash of cocaine, seven sets of CGI wings, and more religious conviction. What’s not to look forward to?
