When last we checked, the marketing for the med school thriller Pathology, starring Milo Ventimiglia, is not going well. The most recent trailer mixed Napoleon Dynamite with the weird dreams of a necrophiliac. Ventimiglia plays a young coroner who gets sucked into the disturbing world of murder without consequence. We’ve got a good look at the new redband trailer, thanks to our friends over at The Movie Blog. Take a look below.

As you can see, this trailer is a lot smarter, a lot sexier and quite a bit more disturbing. If you think about it, this could basically become the movie version of the hit TV show “Dexter”, if it is done correctly. While I am not completely sold on the film yet, I can say that they are going in the right direction. I will keep you in the loop as I see more and more from the film. For you twisted horror nuts, this is looking better and better by the day.

Pathology hits theaters on April 18th.
