Paramount Commits to Black and White Marketing: New Star Trek and G.I. Joe Posters
Movie Marketing By Neil Miller on December 16, 2008 | (8) Comments
Recent marketing materials — both official and otherwise — from two of Paramount Pictures’ highest profile 2009 movies tell us one thing: they are really into the whole black and white poster aesthetic. First is the new banner for J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek, seen above. It features the entire new crew of the USS Enterprise looking, er, intense. If you would like to see more intensity from the likes of Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto and Simon Pegg, just give that image a little click.
Next up is a four spot of posters for G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra that popped up over at Filmz.ru. Each poster features a different plastically costumed character giving you the stank-eye. Though in all fairness, if Sienna Miller is giving me any sort of look I am liable to melt into a puddle of some sort. Check out those posters below.
Star Trek is in theaters May 8, 2009 and G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra drops bombs on the respectability of moviegoers August 7, 2009.
