Alison LohmanJust a few days after Ellen Page decided not to go to hell with Sam Raimi, ComingSoon is reporting that Alison Lohman will take the lead role.

Drag Me To Hell is Raimi’s first movie since his outings with Your Friendly Neighborhood Blockbuster. It starts shooting at the end of the month and is slated for a 2009 release date.

Lohman is a talented actress that has stayed under the radar despite brilliant performances in Matchstick Men and Big Fish, and is definitely an ideal candidate to replace Ellen Page. Hopefully, Raimi will be able to summon up the brilliance for the supernatural-thriller that he had for Evil Dead.

Also, hopefully his return to form sparks Peter Jackson to finally make Dead Alive 2: Electric Boogaloo.
