Last year, our inner children got reintroduced to Maurice Sendak through the adaptation of his book “Where the Wild Things Are.” We also got to hear from the man himself in a ton of promotional features and additional web components were director Spike Jonze got to interview his inspiration.

Now we’ll all get a chance to see more into that world as Oscilloscope has grabbed the rights to release Tell Them Anything You Want: A Portrait of Maurice Sendak – a documentary directed by Jonze and Lance Bangs (fellow musician documentarian).

It’s a quick trip at 39 minutes, but, according to Variety, it hits DVD shelves on March 2nd.

At the same time that Where the Wild Things Are hits those very shelves. How convenient.

I have no doubt that it will make a great companion to the movie.

What do you think?
