Olivia Wilde Joins Ramis’s Year One

Posted by Neil Miller (neil@filmschoolrejects.com) on January 10, 2008

Variety is reporting today that sultry “O.C.” star Olivia Wilde will be joining the cast of Year One, a Judd Apatow-produced, Harold Ramis-directed biblical comedy on the Columbia Pictures slate for June 19, 2009. She will star alongside Jack Black, Michael Cera, Superbad’s Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Oliver Platt, David Cross, Vinnie Jones, Juno Temple and June Raphael. She will play Princess Inanna, the love interest of Black’s character Zed.

As Jack Black described it in an interview last week, Year One “is a biblical comedy. It’s about the old testament. I’m just a dude wandering through biblical times. I’m not a famous character that you would have heard of before. Me and Michael Cera are just sort of wandering through, and you get to see all these old stories from the Torah, told through Agnostic, sort of, eyes.”

And while I am all jazzed up for a biblical comedy directed by Harold Ramis and starring pretty much everyone who is funny in Hollywood, I am more excited about Wilde’s presence than anything else. Why? Because every time I report on her I get to show you pictures like this:

Olivia Wilde is really hot on “House”–but not as hot as my girlfriend (who casually reads this site and the Sound Off section…hi babe…you’re totally hotter than the girl pictured above…smooches).
