The sun has risen on another day, and another set of superhero movie posters — as seen through the eyes of fans with Photoshop — have graced my email inbox. For me, this is a treat. It is also a useful diversion in writing — as I get to say nothing and everything at same time. First the nothing: “Hey kids, look at these posters for movies that are both in early stages of production.” Now the everything: “These look pretty cool. DeviantArt users JerzeyHellboy and NineTeenPSG have some solid Photoshop skills.” Not sure about the title typography in the Captain America poster, but the Thor poster looks quite cool.

Feast your eyes below. More to come, I’m sure. Thanks to reader Christopher M. for the tip.

I am wondering how they are going to down play the American element in Captian America like they did with GIJoe. Perhaps they plan on making him Captian U.N.

Both posters are sweet! I really like the Thor one except they could have made Asgard look bigger. The Thor poster captures the current Thor comic quite well, excellent realistic rendering of his costume, Asgard floating right above Earth, title font, etc.

Thor's poster sucks! That font is terrible.

Captain America's poster is pretty awesome though.

the font is from the Thor comics.. blame Marvel Studios I guess since they used the same font for the teaser title images from back when they first announced Thor..I think if it was in stone or steel it could look better
