Officially Cool: Retro Games Destroy New York with ‘Pixels’
Movie News By Neil Miller on April 8, 2010 | (3) Comments![]()
If there’s something truly wonderful about the dawn of the internet, it’s the sharing of unique experiences that would otherwise be lost in a sea of nothingness. This becomes most apparent when someone extremely creative makes a wonderful short and distributes it online. Such is the case with Pixels, a vibrant and fun little short from a French group called One More Production.
It’s all about 2D retro gaming characters who set out to reformat New York City. It’s an incredible little piece that will tickle just about anyone who grew up in the early days of video games. If you played arcade games, owned an Atari 2600 or an original NES, then you’re going to love the attention to detail in the video below. Kudos for our friend Peter Hall at Cinematical for picking this one up. It made my day, for sure.
