Earlier in the weekend we posted the bootlegged version of the X-Men Origins: Wolverine trailer and found that it didn’t last very long on the YouTubes. We can assure you though, that this one will last quite a while. The trailer has been officially released in high definition over on MySpace and can be seen below. X-Men Origins: Wolverine tells the origin story of Logan (Hugh Jackman), a man who is driven by the death of his love and his thirst for revenge into the Weapon X program where he is altered to become Wolverine. After finding out some of the details surrounding his girlfriend’s death, he is forced to go after his longtime friend and fellow mutant Sabretooth (Liev Schreiber). Danny Huston, Ryan Reynolds and Taylor Kitsch also star.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is directed by Gavin Hood (Rendition). It hits theaters on May 1, 2009.

  • If you want to see the trailer you need to head to Myspace then add to friendsa and you should be able to see the trailer. It looks kick-ass but I have one complaint if the black girl with a blonde hair is Storm, we have a problem here. Also they have kept Styker's demented son in there. Looks good but not as good as TDK it follows the suit of X-Men Films.

Update: Looks good looks like they got the Gambit action style with the cards and schtick. I don't understand why Emma Frost is in this movie.

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!. also im gonna need a change of pants...
  • Looks good, but why is Sabertooth seemingly intelligent in this movie, and yet a moron in X1?

Great point take it up with the directer.
  • Looks like Jackman isn't playing Wolverine the same way he played him in The Last Stand, which is very good. We need a return to the first two X-Men films' performance.

  • Everything looks solid, but I'm thinking Gambit could be totally messed up. He looks like a major D-bag in the trailer.
  • Mladen
I thought Gambit was initially a villain? It fits that he's a baddie here.
  • I'll have to check my X-Men history to find out for how long, but yes, Gambit was originally a villain. He's always been a d-bag. ;) And yes, with the tech available today, there is absolutely NO reason he shouldn't have red eyes.
