Official 1-18-08 and Star Trek Posters Released
Posted by Neil Miller (neil@filmschoolrejects.com) on July 26, 2007
We have been speculating like mad about J.J. Abrams’ upcoming monster flick, loosely called “Cloverfield” or “1-18-08″. Now — at least for now — Paramount has provided us with the first look at the official teaser poster. They have also released, as part of the Comic-Con festivities, the poster for “Star Trek” as well. Take a look below:

Ha ha, the Abrams movie poster was already leaked and the title is Monstrous. Good times, good times.

You can clearly see the path that the monster took from Statue of Liberty to Manhattan. Looks like it just plowed its way through since a whole chunk of the building where it landed is missing.

The Star Trek poster is certainly eye-catching! and retro.

Scott — I have a quote that is just for you. Today, as I was sitting there watching J.J. Abrams talk about this project, I wondered if you were correct. Then he said, “Did you guys seriously think we were going to call our movie Monsterous?”
His words, not mine.

OMG it’s a movie, what difference does it make if it looks like 9/11 or not.

Wow, it could also may be another type of creature that we just may never have heard of before. Honestly, why does everybody think it’s going to be a monster that somebody else has already made a movie out of.

If you copy and paste this image into Paint, and paste another copy of the image and click flip horizonal - it makes a picture. (Have the original on the left and the mirrored image on the right - connected) There is a person coming down from the sky and a demon in the smoke from the buildings. Could be Heaven vs Hell instead of a monster movie. That would be AWESOME!!!
