I know you were all secretly hoping that Warners would announce sometime soon that, surprise!, they actually filmed a third Batman installment while filming The Dark Knight, and Heath Ledger is in it as The Joker, and somehow they stumbled upon the cure for cancer when a DP accidentally stepped into Christian Bale’s line of sight.

That is not the case.

What is the case, according to The Hollywood Reporter, is that Christopher Nolan will be focusing his directing attention to an original screenplay he’s written called Inception.

Not much is known about the project aside from being a science fiction, action film “set within the architecture of the mind,” and that Nolan is making his next alongside Emma Thomas as Producer.

Maybe this will give everyone something to look forward to in the meantime until Warners finally holds the press conference to announce that Angelina Jolie will be playing Police Chief Miles O’Hara.
