Nolan Heads for ‘Inception’ Before Batman

I know you were all secretly hoping that Warners would announce sometime soon that, surprise!, they actually filmed a third Batman installment while filming The Dark Knight, and Heath Ledger is in it as The Joker, and somehow they stumbled upon the cure for cancer when a DP accidentally stepped into Christian Bale’s line of sight.

That is not the case.

What is the case, according to The Hollywood Reporter, is that Christopher Nolan will be focusing his directing attention to an original screenplay he’s written called Inception.

Not much is known about the project aside from being a science fiction, action film “set within the architecture of the mind,” and that Nolan is making his next alongside Emma Thomas as Producer.

Maybe this will give everyone something to look forward to in the meantime until Warners finally holds the press conference to announce that Angelina Jolie will be playing Police Chief Miles O’Hara.

    Maybe Nolan could get some oscar love for this one.
  • I always love Nolan's work and I am thoroughly excited for his next Batman (if there is one), but I must say I am so much more scyked for this!! Nolan is just great at making these kind of films and I cannot wait for this.

    I've been waiting to see what Christopher Nolan would be doing next and a sci-fi film is intruiging. Nolan has a way of taking relatively mundane concepts and spinning them into extraordinary films. Just one question, which role is Christian Bale going to play?

    Nolan is class. Memento, Prestige and Insomnia were fantastic! You can't blame him from taking a break from the juggernaut that is Batman - just as long as he returns to do number 3.

  • Cole, what makes you think they'll really cast Angelina in Batman movie? Unless Nolan cast her as the Poison Ivy with Venus fly traps for her lips. Hey!! That would be an astounding idea.
