No ‘Salvation’ For Those Who Distract Christian Bale
Behind the Scenes By Neil Miller on February 2, 2009 | (109) Comments
If there is one thing that anyone can respect about actor Christian Bale (The Dark Knight, American Psycho) it is his passion and dedication to his craft. Ever since he dropped an amazing 63 pounds to play emaciated insomniac Trevor Reznik in The Machinist, it has been clear that Bale is a man who gets deep into his role. And when he’s on set, he’s focused on what he has to do. So what happens when Shane Hurlbut, director of photography on Bale’s latest film Terminator Salvation, walks across Batman’s eyeline while he’s trying to deliver a scene — well, it is just too much for Mr. Bale. No one — not even a former key grip on Teen Witch — is going to get in the way of another powerful performance. In short, you don’t mess with Christian Bale.
Should you need audio proof of the acceptable punishment for getting in the way of Bale’s brilliance, please have a listen to the very NSFW audio clip below, found via TMZ.

It is likely that Hurlbut never had problems like this Nick Cannon on the set of Drumline. Bale however, will continue to bring a higher level of perfection and professionalism, no matter what any of you motherf*ckers think of him.
Terminator Salvation hits theaters May 22, 2009.
