New Watchmen Footage is Like Comic Geek Porn

Watchmen

I am aware that I already posted the bootleg version of the Watchmen footage from this week’s Spike TV Scream Awards, but I cannot resist the urge to publish it again now that we’ve received the high resolution version from Warner Bros. Personally, I cannot stop watching this footage over and over again — it is as if it has some sort of grasp on me that is unbreakable. It is like a form of comic geek erotica that I would embed in my retina so that I might be able to watch it forever.

Alright, so maybe that is taking things a little too far — but you get the point. Lets all watch the clip again, together.

Watchmen hits theaters on March 6, 2009. To see this clip in high definition, just follow the links below:

They also sent over a very hi-res version of the new teaser poster, which can be seen in its crazy-big glory by clicking below.

I for one am excited as ever... with this new footage... now that i can see it a lot
more clearly, opposed to the other footage you had up.... and thanks for this repost

i have watched it 4 times already :X, i have a good feeling and the direction that
synder is going with this movie, I think the thing behind zack is that hes very good
at make movies from sources extremely similiar and extremely close to the Core
Base of what it is. This time its Watchmen... last time u guys had a Comic
book/trailer video of the Trailer and comic book going through scene by scene.

It says a lot about his talents and i cannot wait for more footage and the actual
    movie
  • anybody think that atomic bomb might have something to do with the possible alternate ending??

Who did the song for the trailer?
  • Trace
    @ Mike

That's the Smashing Pumpkins, "The Beginning is the End is the Beginning" or something.

And I am STOKED for this movie. Oh... I think I came a little.

mike ..... cmon man.... smashing pumpkins song

Which was originally released on the batman forever soundtrack

which was a terrible decision to put such a good song on that terrible movie

    Smashing Pumpkins - artist

The End is the Beginning is the End - Song name

The batman and Robin Soundtrack - Album

sadly its not on a good album like it should be...

Also, I paused at :19, thinking I could figure out if it was a trashed NY Dr. Manhattan and Laurie were teleporting to. I happened upon the blue man's dongle instead. Rated R for nudity - yeah, the wrong kind.

Who was ranting on about all the male junk being played on the silver screen? They haven't gone blue yet, have they?

Rorschach makes jumping onto a window look so cool...

I don't think the version of the song you hear in the trailer is the same one you hear on the batman and robin soundtrack though... some sort of different mix.

The version in the trailer IS on the album. The first song on the B&R soundtrack is titled "The End is the Beginning is the End" and it is the heavy metal version that was in the music video. The last song on the album is "The Beginning is the End is the Beginning", and that is the slow version from the Watchmen trailer. It also has entirely different lyrics.

I was personally thrilled when it started playing in the first trailer. It's a very niche song as that version was never on the radio or anything. It's great to have it brought back for a much more worthy use.
