New ‘Taken’ Poster Declares that Liam Neeson Will Kill You

I love threats, I receive them all the time from all of you. In fact, I am sure that if I say another offbeat thing about Shatner, I am going to finally get that whoopin’ that I have coming to me. I can only hope that such a whooping would come from Liam Neeson, as I’ve never really considered him to be very formidable. Though, in his upcoming film Taken, in which he plays a former spy who must use his skills to find his daughter after she is kidnapped, Neeson is bringing a whole new level of badass. At least, that is what the marketing campaign would lead us to believe. As evidence of this, behold the newly released poster below.

Taken also stars Maggie Grace and Famke Janssen. It is produced by Luc Besson (Transporter, La Femme Nikita) and directed by Pierre Morel, who made a big splash with District B13 in 2004. It hits theaters on January 30, 2009.

  • it's a badass action movie, Liam owns the role
  • This is actually a pretty good movie... one of the better Luc Besson-produced efforts... which also means it's implausible as hell. But fun!

And Liam Neeson is extremely formidable, imposing, and believable as a kick-ass killing machine.
  • yup, really good flick, saw it about two months ago here in Peru... (it's already left theatres.) it's pretty grim and intense, and gives Neeson the chance to prove that he can be a pretty kick-ass action hero. definitely more serious than the Transporter films.

Umm yeah it is pretty implausible but pretty entertaining and a good way to take things off your mind from work or study or any productive thing you're currently doing at the moment.
  • it's pretty good. go in with low expectations and you'll be pleasantly surprised.
  • "Taken" was fun to watch -- Liam Neeson put the beat down on some bad guys
