I think it looks like a fun, exciting space movie.

One question – Why make the bad guy have a weapon that destroys planets? A little too much Death Star. I mean, come on. Star Trek vs Star Wars is a forever battle and now Star Trek is like "Well, Death Star was a really good idea, lets take it." -1 for Star Trek.

In Star Trek, the Earth is like one big happy planet, part of the United Federation of Planets. The "USS" in USS Enterprise stands for United Star Ship. It's not an American starship. The crew is from all over the planet and also, in the case of Vulcans, around the Milky Way.

Yup, me too – actually got goosebumps. How much of that is the imagery, and how much is the fantastic score (all that deep brass!). I hope that the music in the trailer is truly indicative of the actual film score.
