Movie News By Neil Miller on June 18, 2009 | (7) Comments![]()
In early June director James Cameron went in front of crowds at E3 and showed off a little bit of the companion video game for his highly-anticipated sci-fi epic Avatar, which hits theaters on December 18. This marked the first even remote bit of footage shown from this brave new world he’s been creating for the past few years, an event that has generated plenty of buzz on the web. Today, the folks at The Daily Telegraph have published three awesome new screenshots from the game, giving us yet another look at what the world of Avatar is like.
The film follows a group of humans who end up battling against a distant planet’s indigenous population in an attempt to find a new home for humanity. It stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Michelle Rodriguez, Giovanni Ribisi, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Peter Mensah, Laz Alonso, Wes Studi, Stephen Lang and Matt Gerald.
Avatar is in theaters December 18, 2009. The game will hit shelves around the same time. Have a look at the new art above and below.
Thanks to Chris J. for the tip.
