I think what may be getting everyone is the colors they are using for the flashes. I think the Rainbow effect is wrong for this type of film, or any film short of the Care Bears movie. Its distracting and looks cheap.

Doesnt quiiiiitteeee play out like a standard fight. For instance, last 10 seconds Evans' character realises he can punch the other guy without making contact. Bruce lee style.
