The folks at Empire have unveiled a few new high-res photos from the upcoming action-adventure film Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time today, giving us a wet and wild look at Jake Gyllenhaal and Gemma Arterton.

This photo release comes hot on the heels of a few posters. The first of which showed off Jake Gyllenhaal looking back at what we can only assume is destiny, along with one of Gemma Arterton looking more like a Calvin Klein ad than a movie poster. Even more recently, we showed you a shot of Sir Ben Kingsley looking grisly as the film’s villain Nizam.

Today’s batch of photos, some of which you can see below, include action shots of Prince Dastan (Gyllenhaal) along with the sultry Princess Tamina (Arterton). The two get a little wet, then ride away from danger — once again looking back at what we can only assume is their destiny.

Directed by Nike Newell and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is scheduled to hit theaters on May 28, 2010. Check out the photos below and find more over at Empire.
