New Poster for Duncan Jones’ Moon is Absolutely Gorgeous
Movie News By Neil Miller on April 10, 2009 | (16) Comments
If you thought that the trailer we showed you yesterday for Duncan Jones’ sci-fi drama Moon was good, wait until you get a load of the new teaser poster that debuted over at Ain’t It Cool News late last night. It is without a doubt one of the coolest posters I’ve seen in a while. Very simple, but also incredibly retro — it keeps perfectly with the retro, as in from the 70s, aesthetic of the entire film. As you will see when you get a chance to see it this summer in theaters — and you should definitely go see it — the film has a very unique visual aesthetic created by some very crafty miniatures and some very smart cinematography. It is compounded by the fact that Clint Mansell (The Wrestler) has put together one of the most beautiful scores I’ve heard in years, leaving you with a sensory experience that is unheard of in the realm of independent film — a true gem, both of the indie and sci-fi variety.
Moon is scheduled to hit theaters on June 12, 2009. Check out the new poster below and click it to head over to AICN and see the high resolution version. For more on the film, check out my Sundance review and the first teaser trailer that was released yesterday.
