The apocalypse is upon us. Pixar is releasing a new film in 2009 and it’s not about a superhero, fish, toy or robot. Take a moment to breathe and check out the new picture from Up.

Up is the story of  Carl Fredricksen, a grumpy old man who ties 10,000 balloons to his house in a effort to float all the way to South America. It’s not your usual story from the company that loves to bring us heartwarming tales of all shapes and sizes, but it does hopefully give Bea Arthur a chance to get more work. How is she not one of People Magazine’s 20 Sexiest People? Sigh. Anyway, people love old people. That may have been the working title of this film for all I know. Cheers to Empire Magazine for the pic.

What do you think of the image from Up? What is your favorite Pixar film?
