Posted by Neil Miller (neil@filmschoolrejects.com) on December 2, 2008

The folks over at SpoilerTV have uncovered five new pics from the highly anticipated comic adaptation X-Men Origins: Wolverine. In said images, which can be seen above and below, we see a little bit of Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) cutting up some walls, staring down his nemesis Sabretooth (Liev Schreiber) and taking a breather in that funky Weapon X water tank. Check them out for yourself below.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine hits theaters on May 1, 2009. Also, you will find the trailer in theaters next weekend attached to The Day the Earth Stood Still.

  • That Saving Private Ryan picture just looks silly.

Nice!! Keep em coming!! So do we think that there will be a cameo of one of the Marvel Characters that will tie-in with Avengers in 2011?
  • Not likely, as Wolverine is a Fox production -- that doesn't play as nice with other Marvel (non-X-Men) movies.
  • Where are the photos that show off Wolverine's tender side?

Since when are Wolverine and Sabertooth the same height and weight?

LOOK! fanboys need to stop being so f**kin picky! apart from "since when are wolverine n sabretooth the same height"..theres also that grumble about Gambit. STFU! after X-men 3, everyone and their mother thought the x-men franchise would be finished...now we are getting a chance to restart that franchise and flesh out some of the awesome characters.and u kno wat...f**kin AMEN. you guys would sit and moan all day if there wasnt a wolverine movie being made. Be glad its been made! Sit back and enjoy! who gives a s**t where gambit looks a bit too young, or sabretooth is the same height as wolverine.
Im just glad Hugh Jackman loves the wolverine character as much as we do, that he's prepared to ensure the movie is made!..

P.S if Hugh Jackman hadnt made this movie, it probably would have been made anyway, but with sh*tty actors and a sh*tty director and plot. SO STOP COMPLAINING!

    nevernude basically said it
stop complaining about the small details
its not an exact replica of the characters, or else wed see wolverine in a yellow spandex outfit as the joke he made in xmen

    soo really now
go with it and see how it plays out, so far it looks amazingly cool

"fanboys need to stop being so f**kin picky!"
Spoken like a true non-fan. It's the fans' loyalty (& money) that has kept the comics, much less the movies, going for this long, so we have a right to be picky. Every fan I know (including myself & my DH) HATED X3. We were more than willing to let the franchise die, based on what was done to it. Iron Man has made us cautiously hopeful about comic movies again.

    "who gives a s**t..."
Fans do. It is unacceptable, with the acting & tech level available today, to take characters that (in some cases) we've grown up loving and completely wreck them, just to satisfy the whim of some money-grubbing studio exec who's never read a single comic. Until I saw these pics of Wolverine, I was considering seeing it... but no offense to Schreiber, he's completely wrong for this part. PS...

    "SO STOP COMPLAINING!"
Just what are we supposed to say - "thank you sir, may I have another"? Jackman's talent notwithstanding, why should we put up with crap? I guess nothing but a monetary boycott will wake up Hollywood. That's all they care about, anyway.

I agree the whole X-men franchise was based in a real world type of atmosphere.Do we really want a bunch of people running around in skintight outfits looking like a bunch of gimps?People should really stop complaining not everythings going to be perefect, movie studios can only do so much.

Im a big fan of Wolverine, i have the comic books to prove it. Im not in any way advocating that we worship at the feet of the greedy moneymakers in hollywood what i am saying is fanboys should look at the bigger picture. Hollywood has no obligation to make these movies,if they werent capitalising on the recent outbreak of superhero franchises, someone else would. someone who wouldnt bother to look into the stories or give due consideration to the people who made the comics famous in the first place.
Sure the Hollywood producers wont get it 100% right, but i am prepared to accept that. and so should every fanboy out there. Fanboys are in no way responsible for picking who gets cast in a movie. if we were, Heath Ledger would never have been The Joker. Look at it this way..Hollywood has come as close as possible in making a perfect comic book movie in the form of TDK.
