And? Just because one wins an oscar doesn't make everything they do afterwards gold. I havn't seen the trailer since it came out, so I can't recall exactly what turned me off of the costumes. I'm not a fan of them. I don't understand why everyone is getting hostile over the fact that I find the costumes crummy. These are my thoughts, feelings. I'm not beating you or anyone else into submission for everyone to be an ass to me.

Janty Yates has won an Oscar for costume design but doesn't know how to construct them? Riiiiiiiiight.
I dare say she knows more than you.
And I'd love to know which costume looks like it's falling off.

It's been pointed out frequently that this movie is how Robin and the Merry Men BECAME outlaws.The white horse , in particular, is shown being led riderless at the beginning of the taler and it seems Robin somehow “acquires” it. Obvioulsl archers were foot soldiers and didn't have horses anyway. That doesn't mean they can't obtain horses in the course of the story which were technically above their station.

Because I think the costumes look awful, as in they are poorly constructed and look as if they might fall off in any moment, I must of meant they should all be wearing green tights. I know my history and I know what type of clothing was worn in that era. I know alot about costumes/clothing and because of my knowledge I can judge wether costumes in a movie look like crap.

You must be European then, because your judgmentally snobbish.

what i've seen the costumes are of that period in england.

you must be american and don't know to much.

the men did not wear tights, it was leggings or breches (pants to you)

Actually the costumes are very simplistic looking. But the major flaw that stands out is the tack and harness of the horses. Now they got the basic look of the saddles correct but the tack is too complex for that time for men at arms and especially for “Outlaws”.
