Photos Emerge from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Some of the new photos from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince show what appears to be business as usual at Hogwarts Academy. There appears to be much the same friendships and rivalries among the characters. There is some sign of trouble from an increasingly menacing Draco Malfoy, but not much is revealed in this set of photos from the production.

There are no photos depicting the ever growing threat of Voldemorte (Ralph Fiennes) to Hogwarts and both the wizard and muggle worlds. The storm is gathering and the battle lines are being drawn. Complicating matters are raging teenage hormones, something that even a wizard can’t cure.

Jim Broadbent has joined the cast as Horace Slughorn, an old friend of Dumbledore, called upon to help the headmaster crack Voldemorte’s defenses. Helena Bonham Carter returns as Bellatrix Lestrange, an old threat to Harry and Hogwarts.

David Yates who directed Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix returns to helm Half-Blood Prince.

The film is scheduled to open November 21st, 2008 and we’re looking forward to seeing more photos from the film. Check out the most recent set in the gallery below, all found via Slashfilm:
