Without Samuel L Jackson backing him up Travolta's character in that movie was simply a greasy haired wanna be. He left his Mac 10 sitting on the counter when he went to the restroom, he deserved to die.

well Travolta was still cool in the movie and was the bad guy…I'm not comparing him to the original Mr. Blue I'm just pointing out he's played a decent bad guy in the past…he seemed really calm when he shot Phil Lamar's head off in the car…that seemed more scary than threatening a bunch of strangers

this also might be out of left field but his knife speech in Face Off was pretty hardcore…
