We spent time at Comic Con hanging with the man, the myth and the legend that is Thomas Jane. And the man who was once the best version of The Punisher spoke very passionately about a lot of upcoming projects, including his directorial debut The Dark Country, which will begin filming for Stage 6 and Raw Studios in November. One of the projects he was very hush about though was The Mutant Chronicles, which also stars John Malkovich, Ron Perlman and Devon Aoki. This one was a smaller flick that could make some bigger waives if it catches an audience — or if they tell us a little more about it.

Here is the official plot synopsis from Pressman Films’ website:

“Mutant Chronicles is based on the popular role-playing game of the same name. In the 23rd Century Earth has been ravaged by mega corporations controlling the planet and mankind is threatened with extinction by a marauding army of NecroMutants. The Chronicles of an ancient Brotherhood foresee a savior, but their hopes are left to a crack squad of mercenaries led by a battle-weary Mitch Hunter. Currently in post-production.”

The Mutant Chronicles is directed by Simon Hunter. It hits theaters sometime in 2008.
