New ‘G.I. Joe’ Clip is Fashion Over Function
Movie News By Neil Miller on May 31, 2009 | (19) Comments
MTV has debuted a brand new 45-second clip from Paramount’s G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra this week in anticipation of tonight’s MTV Movie Awards, where an extended clip will be shown alongside clips from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Twilight: New Moon and others.
In the clip, which can be seen via the player below, we see The Baroness (Sienna Miller) and Storm Shadow (Byung-hun Lee) as they attempt to fire some sort of ecological warhead at the Eiffel Tower in Paris. But hot on their trail are Duke (Channing Tatum) and Ripcord (Marlon Wayans) in their accelerator suits (which are one part kinda cool, one part ‘why god?!’).
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra hits theaters on August 7, 2009. It is directed by Stephen Sommers.
Note: We’ve updated this post with the extended clip below. Enjoy.
