Paramount Pictures has provided us with another series of images from their upcoming actioner G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, which include a badass look at a couple of ninjas in the heat of battle.

Directed by Stephen Sommers (The Mummy), G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra follows an elite military unit comprised of special operatives known as G.I. Joe, operating out of The Pit, takes on an evil organization led by a notorious arms dealer. It stars Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Christopher Eccleston, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Byung Hun Lee, Sienna Miller, Rachel Nichols, Ray Park, Saïd Taghmaoui, Channing Tatum, Marlon Wayans and Dennis Quaid.

I’m sticking to my guns on this movie — I’m excited until I see the thing for myself. The 12-year old me that still resides inside my mind is totally pumped for some ridiculous action and awful dialog. Also, I would just like to see Ray Park kick some ass as Snake Eyes. I’m simple, what can I say?

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra hits theaters on August 7, 2009. Click the photos below to enlarge.

Ray Parks is the only good part of this movie.
  • I am with you! I am all about ridiculous, horribly over-the-top action, that isn't weighed down by a story. Not that I don't love my oscar nominees, but sometimes I just need to be entertained. As I loved all of the Stephen Sommers directed 'Mummy' movies, I hope G.I. Joe lives up to the hype of its trailer (both good and bad).
