New ‘Fast and Furious’ Trailer Shifts Smoothly Into Gear
First Look By Neil Miller on August 25, 2008 | (10) Comments
IGN has debuted the first teaser trailer for the 2009 film Fast and Furious, which will see the return of the key players from 2001′s The Fast and the Furious, including Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster. And as you will see from the trailer below, it has much of the same energy.
I will admit that it doesn’t look bad. As well, those who were fans of the third film in the franchise, Tokyo Drift will recognize some of the visual style as that of director Justin Lin, who has also come back for his second go-round in the series. Lin surprised a lot of people with round three, delivering the franchise back to a certain level of prominence after 2 Fast 2 Furious floundered. I for one am actually looking forward to seeing how this one turns out, and this first trailer has only furthered that sentiment.
Check out the HD version of the trailer over at IGN. Fast and Furious hits theaters on June 5, 2009.
