A new fan site just launched, and we here at Reject HQ are all seeing red.

There are several set photos (seen below) and a great video of a car chase scene (also seen below). In the materials, you can really begin to see the world of the new Red Dawn taking shape. Interesting iconography, cool banners, and big trucks! My favorite photo is the Wolverine Truck — the Dodge Ram that features a “Wolverines!” image on the back. I hope they’ll have some of  these decals available as the release date nears.

The remake of Red Dawn stars Chris Hemsworth, Josh Peck, Adrianne Palicki and others, and premieres on September 24th, 2010. 364 days! I’m so excited that I’m already re-reading my Marx and Engels, but of course, with this film comes with mixed feelings. I don’t really know that the world needs a remake of Red Dawn, especially with a different enemy. What the world really needs is just another good old fashioned Cold War, and an epic Red Dawn (the original) Blu-Ray transfer. Either way, check out these pictures and the video below, or you’re a pinko Commie.

  • This makes me happy.

Red Dawn was and is one of my favorite movies, and I'm still in favor of this remake. I really don't know why exactly. I have Netflix streaming on my Roku box and watched it again last night (probably the umpteenth time I've seen it) it still hits a soft spot in my heart. It may be because it isn't a teen dramady, or because it was made on $1.50 and 2 Cheerios box tops, was made in the middle of the Cold War and showed us being invaded by Cubans who were being pushed into it by Russians. It just feels right.
  • apparently, they're filming parts of this in my town. awesome.
