dragonball-header

Fans have been merciless so far when it comes to the upcoming Dragonball: Evolution movie, and as a non-fan I can see why. Early trailers have showcased bad effects, terrible dialogue, and Justin Chatwin, and no one wants to see those things. (I wouldn’t mind some more Jamie Chung though.)

20th Century Fox has just released a new trailer hoping to salvage the potential box-office returns as we move closer to the the April 8th release date. It’s shorter than previous trailers, and it has a mix of old and new footage. Take a look, and tell us what you think:

Speaking solely for myself, they lost me when the Hummer started flying. It is a smart move to cut out some of the back story attempted in the last trailer. Dragonball fans already know what’s going on, and nobody else cares, so this trailer focuses more on the action and effects. Still could have used a lot more Jamie Chung though.

And pardon my Dragonball ignorance here, but I see there’s a pissed off dragon flying around at the end of the trailer. Does his anger have something to do with everyone wanting his balls?

What do you think Dragonball fans? Excited now?
