New Dark Knight Posters of Plenty! 6 New Ones!

Posted by Neil Miller (neil@filmschoolrejects.com) on April 28, 2008

Let me start by saying that I am not 100% sure that any of these posters for the upcoming film The Dark Knight are anything more than fan photoshop jobs, as none of them actually came directly from Warner Brothers. But despite their questionable origins, they all look pretty damn cool. The first one was sent over to us by FSR reader Gary. It shows The Joker in place of Batman from the most recently released one-sheet. As well, instead of it saying “Welcome to a World Without Rules”, it now reads “Welcome to my World Without Rules”:

Next up are five international posters from the fine folks at Omelete.com.br. These all look pretty damn real to me, but you never know. There is one for each of Batman, The Joker and Harvey Dent, as well as one that includes all three stars:

So what do you think of these posters? Real or fake doesn’t matter as much as how cool these are, am I right?

  • They look pretty real to me though the quality looks a little rough on the three face close-ups. Maybe someone took the landscape poster and cut it into three portraits. I especially like The Joker's counter poster to last week's poster for Batman in front of the same building.
  • The first two look decent enough, but the three face posters look a bit shoddy. The Batman one looks like his face, hand and batarang are three different elements shopped together - and I doubt the studio would be that lax with the look.

I also have to wonder why they would say "Coming Soon" if they are new posters - we already have a release date, and the studio would push that instead of leaving it nebulous. The first poster has the main release date.

The first one is a fake. The other ones are all legit.

hey i made the first one with the joker.....all the rest are real...but i am BDS23420, i posted it over on SHH
  • Wow - I'm surprised by that. Congratulations, because the first looks awesome, and the others look blurry and uninteresting.

I'm not sure I get drama out of Batman looking intensely into his Batarang. The Joker, maybe, but Harvey Dent staring at the other side of his campaign button? That's just a reach.

Seems like they are really pushing the 2 Face references in a lot of the posters.
  • mike
They're also all covering half of their face.
  • The one with all 3 reminds me a lot of the Batman Returns posters
  • Oh man! The posters with the "faces" are cool but the one with the BAT-POD bursting through the window is my favorite!!
