New Clip from Pixar’s Up is Short, But Really Pretty
First Look By Neil Miller on December 16, 2008 | (8) Comments
The folks at Disney/Pixar have updated the official website of their upcoming film Up with a brand new clip. The film is a comedy adventure about 78-year-old balloon salesman Carl Fredricksen, who finally fulfills his lifelong dream of a great adventure when he ties thousands of balloons to his house and flies away to the wilds of South America. But he discovers all too late that his biggest nightmare has stowed away on the trip: an overly optimistic 8-year-old Wilderness Explorer named Russell.
Though short and lite on plot revelation, the clip does show off some astounding animation, which is not surprising coming from Pixar. The early buzz from those who saw 45 minutes of this film at Butt-Numb-a-thon in Austin this week is that it is absolutely fantastic. Deven Faraci from CHUD.com went as far as to call it preemptively one of the “best movies of 2009.” Have a look for yourself below.
Up hits theaters on May 29, 2009.
