Netflix Watch Now for Mac Moves into Beta

Netflix and Apple

Hello, I’m a Mac. And I’m currently watching the first season of 30 Rock, despite the fact that I do not own it on DVD. How is this happening? No, not on Hulu. Its Netflix’s Watch Now feature — on a Mac. And that, my friends, is a win for humanity.

Yes, the ‘flix has opened up the Beta program for its new Mac-friendly on-demand service and from what I can see, it is so far, so good. The video quality it very solid, similar to the 480p ‘High Quality’ video that Hulu has employed and it is streaming very well on an average high speed internet connection. I’m not sure how many of our readers are both Netflix subscribers and Mac users, but if you are among that segment of society, I would recommend heading over to Netflix and Opting-in for the beta program. After that you will need to install Microsoft’s Silverlight software and you should be rolling.

Anyone else check out this service yet? If so, what do you think?
