Neal McDonough to Play Dum Alongside ‘Captain America’
Movie News By Neil Miller on June 4, 2010 | 1 Comment
The casting for the soon to be shooting Captain America film continues. And as director Joe Johnston and overseer extraordinaire Joss Whedon finalize the story and get Chris Evans ready to wear the costume and carry the Shield, we’re learning more about who might be going with him on said journey.
Deadline is reporting today that Neal McDonough may go back to World War II, where he found success in the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers. He is said to be in talks to play Timothy Aloysius Cadwallader “Dum Dum” Dugan, a member of the Howling Commandos squad led by Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) during WWII.
I’ll just come right out and say it — McDonough is a good choice for just about anything North of that awful Street Fighter movie. Now if only Joe Johnston can find a spot for Damian Lewis, I think we’ll have ourselves some room for optimism around Captain America.
