No, I don’t automatically label period films as boring. Pride & Prejudice, Elizabeth, and Jean de Florette are three great period pieces off the top of my head.
That said, this site isn’t meant to simply report the facts… it’s a place for opinions as well. And my opinion is I’d prefer to see Portman in something original than something where everyone already knows the story. (Especially a particularly boring story such as Wuthering Heights.)

And no one likes spam steveunion, even when it is cleverly automated.
