Listened to the Audio Book – it's actually not as shit as you'd think. If they play it to the energy level the chick doing the reading did, it'll work. All the eastern martial arts training is pure pulpy goodness and informs the moral codes of the characters more than the Jane Austen social mores. The Ninja devastation scene alone will be worth the price of a ticket if it plays true to the text.

I read the book on the plane on the way back from London at the beginning of November…and I thought it was good…not great, but certainly an enjoyable read. I think my wife may be reading it now, although I don't think she's digging it all that much.

As for a movie version…well…Natalie Portman is beautiful and talented. She'd make a decent Elizabeth Bennet. I just hope the screenplay can to the story some justice.

I've read the first few chapters of the book and it's definitely a novelty. I love Jane Austen and Pride and Prejudice is my favorite book – I also love zombies – mixing them together is funny, but it is definitely odd reading the book with the changed text. Natalie Portman signing on the movie version I think is awesome.
